Created website to inspire kids’ passion for science

Case Study

The National Academy of Sciences had a goal—inspire girls to become scientists—and a book series, profiling ten living female scientists, published by Scholastic. They needed a web site to extend this property online, and turned to Josh Daniel/Content Inventions to make it happen.

The Process: Josh conducted a development process that transformed the content in this book series into a new kind of online property, I Was Wondering. He oversaw the selection of a design firm, Fablevision, and directed a collaboration between the Academies, the designers, educators, and writers. Working together, a concept was developed. To fulfill it, Josh created and produced online scrapbooks, comics, games, and educational materials. He directed a team of writers, vetted content with scientists from the academy, and supervised all aspects of design and production.

We were immediately impressed with Josh’s extensive knowledge of the process of creating a site from scratch. Josh has a masterful ability to develop and edit content and juggle tasks, always keeping a close eye on schedule and budget. His extensive contacts with talented writers, editors, and designers were extremely helpful. Without his creative energy, our site would not be nearly the entertaining and educational site it is today.
